Howrah, West Bengal, accredited by NAAC with A++ grade). This interdisciplinary project is funded by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under the State University
Research Excellence (SURE) scheme.

**Last Date: 12th February, 2024**

**Nature of work**: Computational modeling and analyses of Magnetic Resonance Imaging
(MRI) data of the human brain to examine the organization principles of the brain in health and mental diseases and investigate the relations between brain abnormalities and molecular signatures.

**Preferable knowledge/skill**: Experience in computer scripting (e.g., in MATLAB/ R, etc) is essential. Proficiency in data analyses/statistics/signal processing/image processing will be considered a plus. Previous experience in neuroscience/ biological sciences is not essential.

**Essential Qualification**:
M.Sc./ equivalent degree in Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computational/ Data
Science/ Life Sciences or allied sciences (e.g., Neuroscience, Physiology, Biotechnology,
Bioinformatics etc.) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and qualified CSIR-NET
(including lectureship) or GATE. **OR **Graduate (B.E./B.Tech etc.) degree with at least a 75% marks/ equivalent grade or Post-graduate degree (M.E./M.Tech) with at least 55% marks/ equivalent grade in Bio-medical or any other areas of Engineering and qualified CSIR-NET
(including lectureship) or GATE. Relaxation of marks/grades as per GOI norms.

**Duration**: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (for 2 years)
+ Senior Research Fellow (SRF) (3rd year)

**Salary**: ₹31,000.00 per month
