**Job description - HR & Payroll Associate**
Expert Point is looking for an HR & Payroll associate who can also work independently and to manage team with ownership and has good expose to Domestic Payroll financial activities.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our day-to-day activities run smoothly on a daily and long-term basis.
**Responsibilities**:
**HR**:
- Conduct onboarding sessions for new employees to familiarize them with company policies and culture
- Handle employee relations matters, addressing grievances, and promoting a positive work environment
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Demonstrate effective communication skills when interacting with employees and other team members
- Manage time efficiently to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Possess attention to detail in all HR-related activities
- Organize employee engagement activities and initiatives to foster a positive work culture and boost employee morale.
- Proficient in using MS Office Suite for HR documentation and reporting
**Payroll**:
- Assisting with end-to-end payroll processing.
- Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating and inputting data.
- Calculation of salary considering all allowance, advance, loans and statutory deductions.
- Working with the Payroll Administrators and Accountants for maintaining salary registers.
- Timely and accurate filing of various payroll statutory returns, E-TDS, Form 16, EPF, ESIC, PT, LWF and S&E filing etc.
- Completes payroll reports for record-keeping purposes or managerial review.
- Investigate, resolve, and identify discrepancies in payroll records and client inputs
- Adhere to all payroll policies
- Handle changes in job status, job titles, and exemptions
- Answer questions from clients about wages, attendance and deductions
- Compute employee take-home pay based on taxes, benefits, and time records
- Maintain payroll processing system and records
- Process the client payroll every payment period
- Calculating and verifying employee salaries, benefits, and deductions in accordance with company policies, employment contracts, and legal regulations
- Responding promptly to client inquiries and concerns regarding their payroll workings
- Generating payroll reports, such as payroll summaries, Appraisal reports and labor cost analyses.
- Conducting regular audits and verifications of payroll data to identify and rectify any inaccuracies and discrepancies in Books
- Supporting the implementation and integration of new payroll systems or upgrades
- Participating in process improvement initiatives
- Collaborating closely with the HR and Finance teams to exchange relevant payroll information and resolve payroll-related issues
**Requirements and skills**
- Proven work experience as an HR and Payroll executive or similar role
- Experience in Employee engagement activities is an added advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or relevant field; additional qualification in Masters or certification courses in HRD is an added advantage
- Solid knowledge of HR procedures
- Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically) and HRMS and Payroll softwares like Zoho, GreytHR,etc.,
- Working experience with MS-Excel formulae like VLOOKUP, PIVOT, etc.,
- Strong knowledge on Payroll and Labour compliances like TDS, EPF, ESIC, PT, etc.,
- Quick learner and Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
Pay: ₹240,000.00 - ₹330,000.00 per year
