Couchbase is seeking a talented and motivated Product Designer with 3 - 6 years of experience to join our growing design team. As a Product Designer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience and interface of our cutting-edge database products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers, to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces that enhance the usability and functionality of Couchbase's offerings.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with product managers and senior designers to understand user needs, project requirements, & business goals.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and user flows effectively.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights, and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Work on both web and mobile interfaces, ensuring a consistent and responsive user experience across platforms.
- Participate in design critiques and reviews to refine designs and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Assist in maintaining design systems and guidelines to ensure design consistency and scalability.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in product design to contribute fresh ideas and innovative solutions.
- Help document and communicate design decisions and rationale to the broader team.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the successful implementation of designs while maintaining design integrity.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of experience in UX design
- Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and provide constructive feedback.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing designs.
- Knowledge of front-end development technologies and their impact on design (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) is a plus.
- Familiarity with database technology or related industries is a bonus but not required.
