**Responsibilities**:
1. Curriculum Development: Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans in alignment with the prescribed curriculum, ensuring that content is relevant, age-appropriate, and stimulating for secondary level students.
2. Classroom Instruction: Deliver high-quality instruction in sociology, utilizing a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom.
3. Assessment and Evaluation: Design and administer assessments, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations, to evaluate students' understanding and mastery of sociological concepts.
4. Individualized Support: Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed, including remediation, enrichment, and academic counseling to foster academic growth and success.
5. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, where mutual respect, cooperation, and active participation are encouraged.
6. Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues and departmental teams to contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the sociology curriculum, as well as participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities.
7. Parent Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians regarding students' progress, academic performance, and any concerns or issues that may arise.
8. Extracurricular Involvement: Participate in extracurricular activities, such as clubs, societies, and events, to enrich the overall educational experience and foster students' holistic development.
**Requirements**:
1. Post-graduate degree in Sociology with a specialization in Education.
3. Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level, preferably in a similar role.
4. In-depth knowledge and understanding of sociological theories, principles, and methodologies.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students effectively.
6. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and fulfilling responsibilities.
7. Adaptability and flexibility to accommodate the diverse needs of students and respond to changing educational requirements.
8. Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying updated with current trends and best practices in sociology education.
**Job Type**: Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: From ₹30,000.00 per month
