Position Overview: As B2B Office Furniture Sales person, your primary responsibility is to establish and nurture relationships with architects and office fit-outs professionals to promote and sell our office furniture products.
Your expertise in understanding the specific needs and preferences of clients will be essential in providing tailored solutions that meet their project requirements. You will work closely with our design team and collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other stakeholders to drive sales growth and maximize customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with architects, office fit-outs professionals to understand their project requirements and establish yourself as a trusted advisor.
Product knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our furniture product lines, including materials, features, and customization options, and effectively communicate their benefits.
Consultative selling: Use your knowledge of architectural trends, design principles, and space planning to provide valuable insights and recommendations during the sales process.
Presentations and demonstrations: Conduct engaging presentations and product demonstrations, showcasing how our furniture solutions can enhance their projects.
Project coordination: Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination between the design intent and the furniture requirements.
Proposal development: Prepare and deliver accurate and detailed proposals, including pricing, product specifications, and project timelines, tailored to the specific needs of architects and design professionals.
Industry networking: Attend trade shows, industry events, and professional associations to expand your network, identify potential leads, and stay updated on the latest architectural trends and developments.
Sales target achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets by actively prospecting for new clients, following up on leads, and closing deals in a timely manner.
Customer service: Provide exceptional pre
- and post-sales support to architects, addressing any inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Sales reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions in the CRM system, and provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market insights.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, preferably within the furniture or architectural industry.
- Strong knowledge of architectural design principles, space planning, and furniture specifications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively engage and influence architects and design professionals.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant sales tools.
- Flexibility to travel for client visits, trade shows, and industry events as required.

From time to time, our detail to quality, design and manufacturing capability has been recognized and awarded in India as well as at various international forums - Awards. It's noteworthy that Knock on Wood bagged the Best Design and Display Award on it's maiden display at the EPCH, New Delhi show.
Our very talented team is led by Aarti Aggarwal, Founder and Principal Designer, Knock on Wood. Aarti studied furniture design at the University of Arts, London and Danish Skole of Design, Copenhagen.
At our manufacturing facility at the 40 acre JCBL campus near Chandigarh, we have access to the most advanced technology and machines, use of ERP systems like Baan/Infor and topnotch R&D facility which perhaps only a few furniture manufacturers around the world could have. This facility and the systems have impressed some of the buyers from Japan, Europe and US to the extent that they exclusively visited the facility again to spend more time with us.
