Responsible for efficient management of overall operations of vessels represented by the Group by providing effective direction and taking control of strategic operational functions and activities including, efficient port turnaround of vessels and cargo, dealing with senior Port and Customs Authorities, cargo handling, husbandry, port operation, statutory compliances, claim prevention, operational safety standards and staff management.

Responsible for effective and timely communication of strategic issues with Principals and Management to support overall growth.

**Key Result Areas**:

- **Shipping Agency Operations**:
a) To oversee and direct operations on day-to-day basis, SOPs, guiding and training staff on operation safety and efficiency.

b) Responsible for coordinating operational activities & issues at various ports in PAN India, identify areas of cooperation so as to improve efficiency and cost savings, on behalf of the principals.

c) To oversee fast turnaround of the vessels calling various ports in PAN India.

d) To advice / direct / assist managers, handling port operations, as and when required for smooth vessel operations.

e) Oversee coordination and planning of Vessel Schedules in various ports.

f) Oversee payments to all the vendors and government bodies related to Operations.

g) Oversee the performance of vendors like surveyors, transporters etc.

h) Communication of policies concerning all operational activity to all levels of the organization so as to prevent/limit claims.

i) Ensure management and process audits are conducted as per requirements and ensure compliance.

j) Assist regions with meeting Operational training requirements in conjunction with corporate office.

k) Maintain good relation and coordination with Customs, Port Terminal, Surveyors etc. for major issues.

l) Oversee and monitor representation of company in various meetings with various port & government authorities.

m) Ensures that the Company and its Principals always enjoy the best possible image and repute with the trade, Government Bodies and Institutions.
- **Knowledge & Qualifications**:
A Master Mariner with at least 15 years on shore operations experience in Ro-Ro, Passenger, Dry bulk, Tankers and Breakbulk vessel operations or A Shipping professional with more than 20 years’ experience in all aspects of operations of a Agency at a senior level with knowledge of Maritime Law and Local compliances.

**Salary**: ₹3,000,000.00 - ₹4,000,000.00 per year
