Neuro Technician

**- **
- Responsible for smooth functioning of Neuro Unit and maintaining discipline in the department.
- Ensure vaccination of each technical staff against Hepatitis B and maintain records.
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness in the department. Maintain asepsis in the department.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of biomedical waste as per rules.
- Overall responsible for maintaining the department through proper co-ordination and response to other departments.
- Maintaining the required stocks and inventories of drugs, equipments, other consumables.
- Ensure the availability of stationery
- Ensure all equipments in the department are in order. Shall inform the Bio Medical Engineering department in case of break down.
- Follow Infection Control Manual guidelines as laid in the Hospitals Infection Control Manual; to prevent Hospital Acquired Infections.
- Keep record of maintenance (Preventive or Breakdown) of all equipments in the department.

**Clinical Responsibilities**:

- Scheduling and managing the appointments for various investigations.
- Attending the patients with due care and concern.
- Analyzing the patient on the basis of old data &medical history, & inform and discuss with consultant in case of any significant findings.
- Preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures being carried out.
- Counseling the patient properly before starting any procedure by providing relevant information about the procedure.
- Assisting the doctor while reporting the procedure; setting the equipments parameters.
- Monitoring the patient before, during and after the procedure.
- Recording the doctors comment upon the graph/image and prepare reports and get it cross checked by the consultant.

**Stock and Register**:

- Responsible for monitoring the following records properly:

- Department record registers.
- Report dispatch book.
- Stock and Inventory register.
- Department Complaint registers.
- Maintenance records Logbook, history cards, AMC, PMC, Calibration record.
- Incident report on daily basis.
- Daily Reports.
- Monthly Reports.

**Follow Quality Policies**:

- Any assignment given by top management from time to time.
- Holding departmental meetings allowing free exchange of ideas.
- Follow disciplinary and behavioral rules while on duty and should follow the Quality Policy of the hospital.

Follow personnel rules regarding leave or resignation & making arrangements for your substitutes whenever required.
