Brief Description of Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct Tool Box Talk with the shift operators and contract workmen to ensure safety across block.To plan and ensure that the day level production targets are met by effective utilization of resources available and implement all safety, quality, environment related systems as per the laid guidelines. Supervision of Processing of Various Resins which mainly involves monitoring the Heating and Cooling profiles, Sample testing, Controlling the process by adhering to laid down Specific Process Instructions and procedures of Quality systems. Generation of break down in SAP, LOTO implementation and handing over machines for break down rectification and preventive maintenance
- Perform the online check of the batch process parameters and recording it into the batch card
- Check and issue the permits for any hot work/height work/confined space entry for the section
- Monitor the cycle time of online batches and take corrective actions if any
- Online SAP entries of the batches
- Online sample analysis for properties and forwarding it to QA for approval
- Assist in finding the root cause of any quality deviation or NCIP- Participate in improvement projects and RCA activities
- Report unsafe act and unsafe condition to the shift Sr.Officer
- Attend to any emergency situation if arises.Co-Ordinate with engineers for any breakdown,Performing the inprocess checks and doing the necessary adjustments in TSD/Mixer,Ensure running of UV units/scrubber/dust collection system and other auxiliary equipments,Maintaining the batch log book and QA approval sheet,Induct new entrants and apprentice by planning & imparting on the job training.
- Ensure that the paint transfers from the mixer to the filling machine
- Ensure that the nozzles are filling in adequate quantity of paint
- Train technicians on the inputs (price, batch number) on the printer for labeling and MF MAT 18- Ensure the accuracy of label orientation and printing message
- Ensure that the necessary packing materials are available on packing machiens - Instruct the fork lift person to place the lids and cartons at appropriate lines
- Troubleshoot any problems which may arise in the packing line
- To ensure all downtime data is updated on EIT software with accurate reasons - Based on the policy of recording downtime, all notfications to be generated in EAM - To ensure shift outputs such that all necessary plant parameters (volume compliace, PRSL, OEE etc.) will be achieved
- Transfer of finished goods and their storage in the ASRS- Maintain the Production report on a daily basis
- Ensure the safety of the people working in the block
- Ensure that scrap is disposed properly
- Reading the shift report and understanding the current status of work
- Ensuring that there are enough lids & Cartons to continue packing without stoppage
- Ensuring the shop floor stock of finished goods to be minimum
- Ensure that correct data is entered into image printers and on the label from MES according to MF MAT 18- Ensure that correct data has been fed into the packing machine for weight per litre. Start the batch in co-ordination with the Sr-officer
- Ensure that no foreign substance is mixed with paint
- Carry out SPC of machines, Ensuring packing line is clean. Ensure 5S of the working area To - Ensure 100 % compliance to PC rules as per APQS.

Brief decription of knowledge and skills required

Polymer chemistry, principles and working of utilities - pumps, heat exchangers, vacuum pumps, reactors,cooling towers.Prior experience of working on DCS/PLC.Using SAP (PP/Materials modules).
Comfortable with MS-Office tools, especially for report generation. Prior experience of process automation.
Robotic palettizers - their working and principle of operation, volumetric and gravimetric filling machines, operation of carton-feeding and sealing machines, operation of automatic printing and labeling machines, ERP - MM/ PP. Prior experience of supervising shifts. Prior experience of working on an automated packing line.Experience of working on MES/DCS/PLC.
