Medical Record Technician

**JOB PURPOSE - **To be the custodian of medical records & comply with the statutes applicable for the clinical activities.

**Core Responsibilities**
- To maintain patient records in a proper, accurate, indexed manner for prompt retrieval
- To maintain privacy & confidentiality of the patient records.
- Demonstrated skills to maintain timely and accurate medical records (manual & computerized)
- To follow all ICD protocols.
- To assist physicians & nurses in MR & EMR filling by providing them support for technical reasons within domain.
- To undertake EMR filling audits.
- To generate regular MIS.
- To file records systematically with the standard indexing practice.
- To communicate with the government departments/ officials for medico legal requirement on an ongoing need basis.
- To supervise & control destruction/ shredding as deemed appropriate in conformation to statute.
- To interface with the visiting consultants, physicians & nursing staff & work in close harmony.
- To co-ordinate with outsourced storage agency & ensure proper record management as per contract.
- To adhere to company policies and practices on discipline & decorum.

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Graduate with diploma in Medical Records Technician or Bachelor in Medical Records

**Experience**
- Preferably with 1 to 2 yrs. of experience in a healthcare setup.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
