Job Title: Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

Voyzon Aerospace is an innovative startup revolutionizing urban transportation through the development of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) air taxis. As a pioneering company in the eVTOL industry, we are seeking a visionary and technically adept Co-Founder and CTO to lead our technological advancements and shape the future of urban air mobility.

Position Overview:
As the Co-Founder and CTO, you will be responsible for overseeing all technological aspects of the company, from conceptualization and design to development and deployment of our eVTOL air taxi solutions. You will work closely with the founding team to set the strategic direction, drive innovation, and ensure the successful execution of our technical vision. This role requires a deep understanding of aerospace engineering, strong leadership skills, and a passion for transforming urban transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Leadership:

- Develop and implement the technical vision and strategy for the company.
- Lead the design, development, and testing of eVTOL aircraft and related technologies.
- Ensure the technological resources meet the company’s short and long-term needs.

2. Innovation and Research:

- Drive innovation by staying current with the latest advancements in aerospace, electric propulsion, and autonomous systems.
- Identify and assess emerging technologies to integrate into the company’s products.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the technical team.

3. Team Building and Management:

- Recruit, mentor, and manage a world-class engineering and technical team.
- Provide leadership and guidance to engineering, research and development, and technical operations teams.
- Create and maintain a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

4. Product Development:

- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from initial concept to production.
- Ensure that all eVTOL designs meet regulatory requirements, safety standards, and performance specifications.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to optimize production processes.

5. Partnerships and Collaboration:

- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, industry partners, and research institutions.
- Represent the company in technical discussions, industry conferences, and stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate with the business development team to align technical capabilities with market needs.

6. Fundraising and Investment:

- Participate in fundraising activities by presenting the company’s technological vision and progress to investors.
- Build and maintain relationships with investors and stakeholders to secure necessary funding.

Qualifications:

- Master’s or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in aerospace engineering, specifically in aircraft design and development.
- Strong background in electric propulsion systems, avionics, and autonomous flight technology.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a senior technical role, preferably within a startup or innovative environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic technical decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and startups.
- Experience with regulatory certification processes (FAA, EASA, etc.) is highly desirable.
