Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate **Pulmonologist (MD)** to join our dynamic medical team. As a Pulmonologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of respiratory and pulmonary conditions. This includes managing chronic conditions such as asthma, COPD, and pulmonary fibrosis, as well as providing specialized care for patients with acute respiratory illnesses, including pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, and lung cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Diagnosis & Treatment**: Evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders, including but not limited to asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and sleep apnea.
- **Patient Care**: Perform comprehensive physical exams, review medical history, and order appropriate diagnostic tests such as chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests, and arterial blood gas analysis.
- **Management of Chronic Conditions**: Develop and implement long-term management plans for patients with chronic pulmonary conditions, offering ongoing monitoring and education.
- **Pulmonary Procedures**: Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as bronchoscopy, lung biopsies, thoracentesis, and pleural procedures.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, respiratory therapists, radiologists, oncologists, and surgeons to provide holistic care for patients.
- **Patient Education**: Provide patients with education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and self-management strategies to improve lung health.
- **Clinical Research**: Participate in clinical research activities aimed at improving the understanding and treatment of pulmonary diseases.
- **Emergency Response**: Provide urgent care and medical support in emergency situations related to respiratory failure or acute pulmonary conditions.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and confidentiality laws.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- **Certification**: Board certification or board eligibility in Pulmonary Medicine.
- **Licensing**: Valid state medical license to practice in Maharashtra.
- **Experience**: At least years of experience in pulmonary medicine. New graduates with strong academic backgrounds may also be considered.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in performing pulmonary procedures (e.g., bronchoscopy, thoracentesis).
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage both acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and support patients and families.
- Strong commitment to patient-centered care and collaborative teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Fellowship training in Pulmonary Medicine or Sleep Medicine.
- Experience with advanced pulmonary diagnostic equipment.
- Interest in clinical research or teaching.
