**Responsibilities**:

- Design, implement, and maintain MySQL database schemas and structures.
- Optimize and tune MySQL databases for performance and scalability.
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies for MySQL databases.
- Monitor and troubleshoot database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and data corruption.
- Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patches as needed.
- Create and maintain documentation related to database architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in MySQL database administration.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience working with MySQL database administration in a production environment.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
- Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL Certified DBA) would be a plus.
