Work Location : 2 to 3 Months Working in Chennai, Thirumudivakkam
Permanent Work Location : Cheyyar (Kancheepuram)

Notice period : Immediate Joiners / 15 days / 1 month only
- ME/ M tech / BE / BTech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years in the Relevant Managerial Position and 15 to 20 years of experience in the relevant industry

Knowledge of preparation of project reports is mandatory.

Knowing Tamil ( at least to Speak fluently ) is mandatory. Fluency in English is required.. Knowledge of any other languages is advantageous

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

Purpose:
Responsible for leading Operations functions to ensure the manufacturing and deliverables of Machines and other revenue streams. Drive creative thinking, ensure customer needs are considered and collaborate teams to ensure efficient manufacturing of machines.

Key Responsibilities:
Plans and oversees strategic, operational, and administrative programs, projects, and/or services ofbroad significance to the organization within the designated functional area of focus.
Establishes and implements short
- and long-range organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operationaleffectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.
Provides strategic advice and recommendations to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or modified operating policies, practices, and procedures within the specified functional area of focus.
Provides professional consultation and leadership to all faculty and staff employed by the component and service as the principal point expertise on all matters relating to the specified functional area of focus.
Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal reporting systems and procedures for the organization or business entity, within specified functional area of operation, as applicable to the specified functional area of focus.
Manages and/or provides day-to-day leadership to various technical, professional, and/or administrative personnel engaged in specified project activities, as appropriate to the position.
Oversight of all aspects of production output and efficiency, including the ability for hands-on production management support if/when required.
Mentorship and support of the production team, including management of all aspects of workforce supervision, planning, training, evaluating, upgrading, and labor relations.
Responsibility for supply chain and materials management, including monitoring/coordination of engineering quoting standards, vendor relations, cost reduction initiatives, and procurement strategies. This includes oversight of
inventory turns, make vs buy analysis, and monitoring industry trends and key input cost that impact operations.

Strategic planning for mid to long term production including forward planning scenarios that may include modifications to factory layout or flow, equipment acquisitions, and/or increased automation.
Driving continual improvement for organization effectiveness.
Update and implement best practices and foster an innovation culture.

Background & Skills
- ME/ M tech / BE / BTech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5-10 years in the Relevant Managerial Position and 15 to 20 years of experience in the relevant industry
- Strong business sense, positive attitude, and a high energy level to lead a growing manufacturing operation
- High customer service ethic
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operation, particularly in a metal manufacturing environment. (Exposure to machining operations is an asset)
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
- Above average computer expertise (and ideally past use of ERP)
- Operation and Project Management Skills
- Proven ability to independently supervise, mentor and manage personnel
- Effective organization skills with strong planning capabilities.General Skills / Qualifications:

- MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude

**Salary**: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,000,000.00 per year
