Job Overview:
The Account Assistant will provide support to the accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks. This role is critical in ensuring the company's financial processes run smoothly and efficiently. The Account Assistant will help maintain accurate financial records, process transactions, and assist with financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Data Entry**: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and maintain updated records.
- **Transaction Processing**: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.
- **Reconciliations**: Perform bank and account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- **Expense Reports**: Assist in the preparation and processing of expense reports.
- **Documentation**: Maintain organized financial records and support documents, ensuring they are filed correctly.
- **Reporting**: Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and statements for internal use.
- **Audits**: Support internal and external audit processes by providing required documentation and information.
- **Customer Interaction**: Handle inquiries from clients and suppliers regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- **Ad Hoc Duties**: Provide administrative support to the accounting team and perform other duties as assigned by the Account Manager.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is advantageous.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- **Attention to Detail**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- **Organizational Skills**: Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- **Communication**: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- **Analytical Skills**: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
- **Integrity**: High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

- **Certification**: Professional certifications such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with general accounting principles and practices, and financial reporting.
- **Experience**: Experience with payroll processing and tax filing.

- **Hours**: Full-time position, standard business hours; occasional overtime may be required.
