Oversight of complete adult zebrafish, larvae, and model husbandry and ensure that the animal husbandry program meets applicable standards for animal health and welfare.
- Complete access to all animals for their well-being.
- Review of protocols pertaining to the use of animals in research activities and development of animal use criteria.
- The attending veterinarian is expected to have oversight of several aspects of the program such as husbandry, housing, preventative medicine and health surveillance, medical treatment, establishment of sedation, anesthetic and analgesic guidelines, handling, and immobilization.
- Delivery of competent professional judgment to select the most appropriate agents to alleviate pain or distress to assure humane treatment of animals while avoiding undue interference with experimental goals.
- Review of infections, mortality, and quarantine tanks - Review of “Letter of Intent” to initiate the study
- Discussion with the research assistants on the latest state of animal care, any new observations,
- Introduction of new technology or observations from the research or industrial community on betterment of zebrafish housing and care
- Document and review any deviations from SOPs observed in the care and maintenance of zebrafish
- Unscheduled review of zebrafish housing and assay performance to review ongoing work

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
