Interpret and understand technical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints related to air

conditioning systems.
- Perform welding tasks to fabricate, install, repair, and maintain HVAC (Heating, Ventilation,

and Air Conditioning) components such as ductwork, piping, and refrigeration systems.
- Utilize various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, brazing, and soldering to join metal

components effectively.
- Ensure welded joints meet specified standards for strength, integrity, and air-tightness.
- Collaborate with HVAC technicians and engineers to determine welding requirements and

project specifications.
- Inspect completed welds and conduct quality checks to detect defects or deviations from

standards.
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working

environment.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition through regular

maintenance and cleaning.
- Coordinate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure efficient completion of

HVAC projects.
- Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
- Skills and Qualifications:

- Completion of a welding program with a focus on HVAC systems or relevant vocational

training.
- Proficiency in welding techniques applicable to HVAC work, including MIG, TIG, brazing, and

soldering.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints specific to HVAC

systems.
- Knowledge of HVAC components, materials, and installation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards in welding work.
- Understanding of safety procedures and practices in welding and construction environments.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks in various positions and

environments.
- Familiarity with HVAC codes, regulations, and industry standards is beneficial.
