Technician - Fabrication

Manage materials for repairing ship structural parts, including tack welding of hull plates and equipment foundations. Oversee maintenance and repair tasks across system maintenance both in workshops and aboard ships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Repair ship structural parts and tack weld hull plates and equipment.
- Identify and report defects and abnormalities.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on equipment according to work orders/job cards/maintenance instructions on ships.
- Identify spares required for maintenance.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Diploma or Certificated apprenticeship in Structural fabrication in Shipbuilding and Ship repair or equivalent from a reputable institute.

Minimum Experience:

- 3 years of fabrication experience, preferably aboard ships.

Job Specification & Skills:

- Knowledge of ship operations and systems.
- Fabrication/Welding skills.
- Proficiency with various hand-tools and equipment.
- Understanding of shipbuilding maintenance.
- Ability to read and understand Structural and Welding drawings and technical manuals.

**Experience**:

- Marine: 2 years (required)
