Jsm - Facilitates

Supports a facility through management of projects and contracts related to maintenance and improvement of electrical, structural, and mechanical systems. Coordinates facilities changes and improvements; maintains relationships with various suppliers and vendors of services provided to the facility; communicates changes and improvements to affected facility occupants. Performs activities under mínimal supervision.

Coordinates and manages projects with the site management leaders, including the plant managers.

Develops project requirements based on the needs of the facility, including space allocations, infrastructural needs, etc.

Ensures that projects and facilities meet state and local building codes.

Coordinates real estate project and construction project implementation.

Initiates communication to consult with electrical, structural, mechanical contract engineers to develop construction projects.

Oversees construction and facility projects including design development, contractors, project pricing, planning, scheduling, ordering and tracking. Works with corporate indirect purchasing to understand supplier base, consolidate suppliers, put appropriate contacts into place, and negotiate cost reductions with suppliers to the facility. Compiles documentation, and reporting budgets for approval process; creates and writes purchase orders; approves payment of invoices.

Ensures maintenance programs are safe and effective for the facilities and building systems.

Directs the work of the facilities associate as needed to ensure updates to the building drawings.

Manages own work and maintains a flexible schedule in order to meet the demands of priority work.

Participates in improvement processes; actively participates in self-and team audits and resulting process improvements.

Facilities Maintenance - Assesses the condition of the facility including its systems, structure, interiors, exteriors and grounds; manages facility operations and maintenance activities; develops and operates asset management systems for Preventative Maintenance's that uses criticality analysis, predictive tools and prioritization.

Facility Electrical Technical - Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs Electrical distribution systems, buss bars, breaker boxes, motors and other electrical equipment to enable the facility to operate properly with lights and electricity provided to the production activities.

Facility Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technical - Troubleshoots, repairs, and installs heating equipment, boilers, ventilations systems, chillers, cooling tower, air compressors and other mechanical equipment, in order to provide heating or cooling as needed to the facility, people and processes of producing products as needed.

Facilities Design and Development - Plans and manages the design of facilities considering the requirements and needs of owners and occupants of the facility; manages and supports site construction activities in compliance to building standards.

**Education, Licenses, Certifications**

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

Has completed an apprenticeship or regional post secondary program in engineering or facilities. Must pass all related testing.

**Experience**

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. Experience with mechnical and or electrical systems is required.
