We are looking for a caring and compassionate
**Pediatric Oncologist** to diagnose, care for, and treat children with cancer or blood disorders.

The pediatric oncologist is responsible for treating infant, child, and adolescent patients and, as such, may deal with fewer cancer cases than an oncologist and more hematologic disorders, such as leukemia, lymphoma, and sickle-cell anemia. The pediatric oncologist will typically treat cancer and blood disorders more with medications and chemotherapy than with surgery and radiation therapy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Examining patients and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Analyzing patient symptoms and test results and making a diagnosis.
- Prescribing treatments, developing treatment plans, and coordinating with other doctors to treat or manage side effects.
- Using various methods of treatment, such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, stem cell transplants, radiation therapy, and surgery.
- Leading a treatment team of other physicians and healthcare workers.
- Counseling patients and family members and promoting the well-being of patients and their long-term survival.
- Maintaining patient records.
- Conducting clinical, transitional, and science-based research in order to remain up to date and to find new ways to treat cancer and blood disorders that possibly lead to a cure.

**Requirements**:

- A Medical degree with the successful completion of a residency in pediatrics and a fellowship in oncology and hematology.
- A license and certification to practice pediatric oncology.
- Strong leadership and teamworking skills.
- The ability to counsel and communicate with children.
- A caring and compassionate nature toward children.
- Good observation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of the field and ability to remain up to date.
