**Job Description**:
- The Transport Supervisor along with Transport In-charge have to ensure safe, effective,
responsive and efficient transport service to the students of his assigned branch
- Oversee operations and activities of the student transportation (e.g. bus routes,
schedule route changes, transportation fee assignments) for the purpose of ensuring
student transportation to and from schools, and field trips
- Maintains personnel records and other mandated information which is required (e.g.
route information, Vehicle related documents, vehicle inspection records, fuel
consumption data, time reports, personnel records,etc.) for the purpose of meeting
regulatory requirements.
- Trains the Transport staff on how to communicate professionally with parents and even
on general conduct and behavior. Arrange for substitutes and stand-by drivers and buses to cover unexpected absences
and incidents for the purpose of providing adequate coverage to meet the transportation
needs of the students
- Conducts regular inspections for the purpose of ensuring work quality, performance and
and assuring that transport staff performance is meeting established standards and
expectations.
- Monitor fuel consumption and plan optimized operation strategies for cost reduction.
- Preparing Daily, Weekly and Monthly transport reports.
- Oversee the plan for the preventative maintenance.
- Responds to emergencies including after hours situations for the purpose of addressing
immediate safety concerns.
- Assist and/or coordinate with the development of policies and procedures.
- The transport Supervisor must resolve all the challenges arises in the transport services
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties (e.g. staff, parents,
students, government agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, facilitating
communication among parties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and
effective functioning of school Transport operations.
Preferred skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills ( English and any 2 local languages) ,and able to
communicate well with students, staff and parents.
- Prior experience working in a passenger Transport and managing a fleet of buses
- Experience in scheduling bus routes, vehicle maintenance, and employee management
- Previous experience in working with a variety of GPS tracking, incident monitoring, video
- Strong computer skills, preferably with prior experience using MS Office and Google
Sheets.
- Working well under pressure with a proactive approach
- Good conflict resolution skills.
- People Management Skills.
- Analytical skills.
Qualification & Experience
- Any Diploma or Bachelor's degree, added advantage if from Automobile, Mechanical,
Fleet Management, Transportation Management background.
- 2-4 years experience in relevant fields and responsibilities.
