**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments of diesel engines and hydraulic systems to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, to ensure the optimal performance of machinery.
- Disassemble and reassemble engines and hydraulic components for repairs or replacements, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Repair and replace faulty parts, such as pumps, valves, pistons, hoses, and gaskets, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Operate specialized diagnostic equipment and tools to accurately identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule repair tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and job details.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring that all work is performed in a safe manner to protect personnel and equipment.
- Assist in training junior mechanics or technicians, sharing knowledge and expertise to improve team performance.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss equipment status, maintenance schedules, and potential improvements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, and other departments to provide updates on repair progress and equipment availability.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training in diesel mechanics or hydraulic systems is preferred.
- 5 to 7 years of experience as a diesel or hydraulic mechanic with a solid understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems in heavy machinery, trucks, or similar equipment
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and hydraulic issues
- Familiarity with technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for equipment repairs.
- Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a mechanical workshop environment
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are needed to convey information clearly to team members and supervisors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Adaptability to work in various weather conditions and challenging environments
- Valid driver's license and the ability to operate vehicles and equipment when required.
- Fluency in English and knowledge of Arabic would be advantageous.
