**Job purpose & Scope**

In charge of procurement logistics and primary movement of goods (across all BUs of the Company) from vendors, central warehouse, RDCs and branches.

**Major Areas of Responsibilities**
- Looking after the movement of finished goods from vendor to CWH/RDC/Branches.
- Checking on the space availability at CWH/RDC/branch warehouses.
- Close co-ordination with vendors, CWH in-charge, suggest alternate modes of transport whenever necessary.
- Internal stock transfers.
- Arranging modes of transport for the transfers
- Ensure timely service of stock movements from one location to another.
- Management of transporters and fleet owners.
- Appointment centralized transporters and fleet owners.
- Finalization of Contracts with transporters and Periodical Reviews of the same.
- Setting service level agreements
- Processing of Transporters Freight Bills & arranging for release of Payments
- Procedure for Lodging / Settlement of Claims on Centralized Transporters
- Provide reports on load optimization, route optimization, rate optimization to Head-BSS.
- Process Improvement
- Heavy co-ordination with IT Department for development of various BSS related improvement modules
- Implementation of developed modules for process improvement.
- Reverse auction
- Play an active role in the end-to-end process of reverse auction in order to optimization of freight cost
- Inviting quotes from fleet owners and national level transporters on the pre-determined route plan and load factor
- Analyze the quotes
- Selection and contract award

**Person Specifications**

**Essential Qualification**: Graduate in any stream with a Full-time post-graduate Diploma/Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain Management OR CA/ICWA

**Desired Qualification**: Any additional certification/course in logistics/supply chain

**Experience**: 10-20 years of experience in logistics

**Industry Preference**: Consumer durables or similar role from reputed Companies (shipping, etc.)
