**Profile -Metallurgist**

**Qualification
- B.Tech - Metallurgy**

**Salary - Upto 5.4 lac**

**Experience - Min. 6+ yrs. in Foundry Industry ( Knowledge of foundry operations, including melting, casting, and heat treatment)**

**Location - Ajmer**
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to metallurgical defects.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment for testing and analysis (e.g., spectrometer, microscope).
- Maintain detailed records of metallurgical parameters, test results, and process changes.
- Prepare reports on metallurgical performance, yield, and efficiency of foundry operation
- Investigate casting defects such as porosity, shrinkage, inclusions, or improper microstructure, and recommend corrective actions.
- Work with production teams to identify process improvements to minimize defects and increase yield.
- Oversee and manage the melting, alloying, and pouring processes of cast iron and ductile iron (SG iron).
- Ensure proper control of charge materials, melting temperatures, and treatment processes for spheroidization.
- Monitor and optimize inoculation, alloying additions, and cooling rates.
- Conduct chemical analysis of raw materials and final products to ensure they meet required standards (e.g., carbon, silicon, and alloy content).
- Perform mechanical property testing (e.g., tensile strength, hardness, impact testing) on castings to ensure they meet specifications.
- Monitor microstructures of castings through metallography and identify graphite morphology, matrix structures, and other critical features.
