Cafe Captain

**We're looking for a passionate and experienced Cafe Captain to join our team and ensure a smooth and exceptional experience for our customers**

**Responsibilities**:

- **Guest Service**:

- Warmly greet and seat guests upon arrival.
- Take orders efficiently and accurately, recommending menu items and beverages with product knowledge.
- Ensure timely and friendly service throughout the dining experience.
- Address guest concerns and complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to management if necessary.
- Maintain a clean and inviting atmosphere in assigned sections.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead by example, ensuring all staff follows cafe standards and procedures.
- Motivate and support wait staff, providing guidance and resolving any on-floor issues.
- Train new staff on cafe operations, menu knowledge, and guest service techniques.
- **Operations**:

- Manage cafe floor operations, ensuring smooth service flow and efficient table turns.
- Assist with creating and maintaining a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and inventory checks.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the cafe.
- May assist with basic barista tasks, such as preparing coffee drinks during peak hours.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a fast-paced cafe or restaurant environment.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating a welcoming and memorable experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and staff.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment.
- Proficient in basic math and cash handling.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Experience with a cafe POS system is a plus.
- Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation is a plus.
