**Job Summary**: The Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of all employees and visitors within a manufacturing environment. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Safety Officer will conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and prevent accidents and injuries.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Safety Program Development and Implementation**:

- Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures tailored to hazardous process manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Regularly update safety protocols to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- **Risk Assessment and Hazard Analysis**:

- Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses for all manufacturing processes.
- Identify potential safety hazards and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of hazardous materials.
- **Safety Audits and Inspections**:

- Perform regular safety audits and inspections of facilities, equipment, and work practices.
- Document findings and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
- Monitor the effectiveness of safety measures and make necessary adjustments.
- **Incident Investigation and Reporting**:

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings.
- Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
- **Training and Education**:

- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct emergency response drills and ensure all personnel are adequately trained.
- Promote safety awareness and culture through regular communications and initiatives.
- **Emergency Response Coordination**:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts and liaise with local emergency services as needed.
- Ensure emergency equipment is maintained and readily accessible.
- **Safety Data Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, training, and incidents.
- Prepare and submit required safety reports to regulatory agencies.
- Analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with production managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all aspects of operations.
- Communicate safety expectations and performance to employees and management.
- Serve as a point of contact for all safety-related matters within the company.

**Qualifications**: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science and Should be certified safety professional.
- Minimum of 4 to 8 years of experience as a Safety Officer in a hazardous process manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Should known English, Tamil & Hindi

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
