**Job Overview**:
As an Upholstery Supervisor in a kids' manufacturing company, you will oversee the upholstery department's operations, ensuring that all upholstered components of children's products are crafted to high standards of quality, safety, and aesthetics. You will manage a team of upholsterers, coordinate with other departments, and uphold production schedules to meet customer demands efficiently.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Supervision and Leadership**: Lead, train, and supervise a team of upholsterers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- **Production Planning**: Collaborate with production managers and planners to schedule upholstery tasks, prioritize orders, and allocate resources effectively to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement quality control measures and inspection protocols to maintain consistent standards of craftsmanship, material selection, and finishing in upholstered products.
- **Material Management**: Oversee the procurement, inventory management, and utilization of upholstery materials, fabrics, foam, padding, and other supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective usage.
- **Work Process Optimization**: Identify opportunities for process improvement, workflow optimization, and efficiency enhancement in upholstery techniques, equipment utilization, and labor allocation.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce safety regulations, ergonomic practices, and personal protective measures to create a safe working environment for upholsterers and minimize workplace hazards.
- **Collaboration**: Coordinate with design, engineering, and quality assurance teams to interpret design specifications, address technical requirements, and resolve any issues related to upholstery design, fit, or functionality.
- **Problem Solving**: Troubleshoot production challenges, such as material shortages, equipment malfunctions, or quality issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruptions and maintain production continuity.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, material usage, labor hours, and quality inspection reports, and generate regular performance reports for management review.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience in upholstery work, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment, with demonstrated proficiency in various upholstery techniques and materials.
- Supervisory or leadership experience, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Knowledge of upholstery materials, fabrics, sewing techniques, and machinery, as well as an understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in upholstery operations.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production challenges, optimizing processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for liaising with internal teams, external suppliers, and other stakeholders involved in the production process.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
