**Key Responsibilities**

- Assisting passengers: This may involve checking in passengers, issuing boarding passes, and answering questions about flights, airport facilities, and local area information.
- Handling baggage: Airport ground staff may be responsible for loading and unloading baggage from aircraft, and transporting it to and from baggage claim areas. They may also be responsible for handling lost or damaged baggage.
- Directing aircraft on the ground: Airport ground staff may use hand signals or radio communication to direct aircraft to their assigned gates, and to instruct pilots on where to park and unload passengers and cargo.
- Monitoring the airport: Ground staff may be responsible for monitoring the airport for potential security threats, and for reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate authorities.
- Providing customer service: Airport ground staff may be required to assist passengers with disabilities, and to handle any complaints or issues that arise.
- Handling flight delays and cancellations: When flights are delayed or cancelled, airport ground staff may be responsible for helping passengers reschedule their flights, and for providing information about alternative travel options.
