**Job Description: Duty Doctor at Dhaara Specialty Hospital**
**Position Overview**: Dhaara Specialty Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Duty Doctor to provide medical care and support to our patients during their stay at the hospital. The Duty Doctor will play a critical role in assessing patients' conditions, delivering appropriate medical interventions, and collaborating with the medical team to ensure the highest quality of patient care. **Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Assessment and Treatment**:
- Perform comprehensive medical evaluations of patients upon admission, taking detailed medical histories and conducting thorough physical examinations.
- Diagnose medical conditions, interpret diagnostic tests, and formulate treatment plans based on medical findings.
- Prescribe medications, therapies, and interventions to address patients' medical needs effectively.
- **Emergency Response**:
- Respond to medical emergencies and urgent situations, providing immediate medical care and stabilizing patients as needed.
- Collaborate with emergency medical personnel and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and coordinated patient care.
- **Patient Care Coordination**:
- Communicate with consulting specialists, nurses, and other medical staff to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' progress throughout their hospital stay, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- **Documentation and Records**:
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting patients' medical history, treatment plans, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards regarding medical record keeping.
- **Communication and Consultation**:
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis in a compassionate and understandable manner.
- Consult with colleagues, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure collaborative and holistic patient care.
- **Medical Ethics and Professionalism**:
- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, demonstrating empathy, integrity, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and staff.
- Adhere to the hospital's policies and protocols, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- **Continuous Learning**:
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices to enhance patient care quality.
- Participate in professional development activities and medical education programs as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.
- Valid and current medical license to practice medicine in the respective jurisdiction.
- Completion of a residency program in the relevant medical specialty.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and knowledge in the specialty area.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to make quick and sound medical decisions, especially in emergency situations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Commitment to upholding medical ethics and patient-centered care.
