Key Responsibilities:

- **Safety Programs and Policies**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure that all safety policies comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- **Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification**:

- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification.
- Implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks and hazards.
- **Inspections and Audits**:

- Perform regular safety inspections and audits of the workplace.
- Identify unsafe conditions and practices, and recommend corrective measures.
- **Training and Education**:

- Develop and conduct safety training programs for employees.
- Educate employees on safety standards and practices.
- **Incident Investigation**:

- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:

- Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct emergency drills and training for employees.
- **Record-keeping and reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
- Prepare and submit the required safety reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- **Safety Culture Promotion**:

- Promote a positive safety culture within the organization.
- Encourage employee participation in safety programs and initiatives.
- **Compliance Monitoring**:

- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Ensure that safety equipment and facilities meet regulatory requirements.
- **Liaison and Communication**:

- Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory agencies on safety matters.
- Communicate safety policies and updates to all employees.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in a safety officer or similar role.
- **Certifications**: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST), or similar certification preferred.
- **Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ANSI).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and present information clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
- **Additional Skills**: First Aid and CPR certification.

Work Environment:

- This position involves regular inspections and site visits, which may include exposure to varying environmental conditions. The Safety Officer must adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
