**Language requirements**

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential. Fluency in any of the Asian elephant range country languages and proven competence at public speaking would be an advantage.

**Scope of Work**:

**Content Development**:

- Create compelling written and visual content, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media updates, website content, and multimedia materials.
- Work with CSS: Asian Elephant partners and stakeholders on the development of key communication assets including, for example Guidelines, workshop summaries, position statements and scientific publications.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure a consistent flow of information.

**Social Media Management**:

- Manage and curate the organization's social media accounts, ensuring content aligns with communication goals.
- Monitor social media trends and engage with the online community to foster a positive brand image.

**Internal Communications**:

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging within the organization.
- Create internal communication materials, such as newsletters and announcements.

**Crisis Communication**:

- Develop crisis communication plans and strategies, ready to be implemented in case of emergencies or adverse situations.
- Act as a spokesperson during crisis situations, maintaining transparency and trust.

**Event Coordination**:

- Assist in planning and executing events, including press conferences, stakeholder workshops and training, product launches, and promotional activities.

**Market Research**:

- Conduct market research and analyze data to identify communication opportunities and trends.
- Use research findings to adjust communication strategies accordingly.

**Measurement and Reporting**:

- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication campaigns.
- Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies based on data analysis.

**Media Relations**:

- Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
- Draft and distribute press releases and media advisories.
- Coordinate interviews, media appearances, and briefings for key organizational spokespeople.

**Community Engagement**:
Work with CSS: Asian Elephant partners and stakeholders on the development of key communication materials and approaches to engage priority audiences and communities in positive Human Elephant Coexistence strategies.
