Job Overview:
Support in delivery of inspections (Globally) and coordinate 2nd party Inspection contracts in India, through the use of applicable and relevant procedures and project management tools and techniques, to maintain client relationships and be accountable for the safe and effective delivery of the contract and services to the agreed scope and specification, time and costs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for successful execution of single/ multiple projects and coordinate 2nd party inspection contracts in India.
- Responsible for all aspects of project performance, service delivery and safety management systems by providing effective planning, budget, time and quality controls.
- Liaise with suppliers (i.e., inspection agencies / recruitment agencies / freelance personnel) to maintain their current CVs in LRQA format, up-to-date qualifications, personnel contact details and agency skill matrix
- Document incoming enquiries and opportunities from internal/external clients.
- Work under the supervision of Project Managers or SDS Team members on global projects / transactional assignments and liaise with suppliers for their availability as per inspection /service notification, obtain client's approval, arrange inspection / service on the required date, update the internal / external clients and issue inspection specific instructions to the suppliers.
- Coordination of both technical and related project specific administrative activities.
- Review reports, timesheets, expense sheets and other inspection documents and ensure that they are in line with client’s requirements, delivered them on-time and update Project / Assignment Register accordingly.
- Ensure relevant LRQA local HS&E policies and processes are followed, including any necessary client-specific requirements, in particular, ensure that stated requirements for incident reporting, task risk assessment and safe methods of work are followed.
- Work in close co-ordination with the Operations and WWI team for optimum utilisation of full-time and part-time resources for all aspects of assigned projects in line with contractual and budgetary agreements.
Job Requirements:
- Educated to Degree in Engineering from a recognised university or equivalent. (Mechanical Engineering is preferable)
- Relevant working experience in similar role in an engineering environment linked to project management or inspection coordination
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point).
- Adaptable and well organised with a practical minded approach and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Possessing good communication skills, including technical report writing.
- Experienced in providing visible, pro-active Health and Safety leadership, with the analysis and monitoring of incident reporting and task risk assessment.
- Good influencing and motivational skills demonstrated through management or facilitating services to others.
