Mainframe Modernization Architect

Hyderabad, India AWS ProServe IN - Telangana Full time

6+ years of programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java,.Net, C++ or similar object oriented language experience
- Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
- Customer facing experience, including discussions with senior personnel regarding trade-offs, best practices, project management and risk mitigation and interact at the C-level executive suite.
- Experience managing and delivering large-scale IT migration projects including definition and execution of successful project controls.
- 4+ years of implementation/consulting experience.
- 4+ years hands-on experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale.
- Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPPA etc.).
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required.
- Extended travel to customer locations may be required to sell and deliver professional services as needed

Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and care about the success of the customer. Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs. You will collaborate with our customers and/or partners on key engagements and will develop and deliver proof-of-concept projects, technical workshops, feature comparisons, and execute migration projects.

You will be based in Hyderabad/Pune/Delhi/Bangalore and might have to travel globally to ensure customer success.

Key job responsibilities
- Mainframe Modernization Consultant with mainframe (IBM z/OS or AS400) and Java skills

**o Job Locations in India**: Hyderabad, Bangalore Delhi or Pune
- Achieving success will require coordination across many internal AWS teams and external AWS Partners
- Work with various modernization tools and products to modernize mainframe (primarily automated refactoring using a tool-based approach)
- Help customer in designing the target state architecture
- Deliver Migration & Total Operating cost estimation
- Assist customers in cutover and handover process
- Build re-usable mainframe modernization artefacts
- Provide necessary trainings to Customer, partner and internal teams

Bengaluru, KA, IND | Gurgaon, DL, IND | Hyderabad, TS, IND | Pune, MH, IND
- 7+ years of IT implementation experience
- Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
- Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
