**POSITION DETAILS**

**_ Position Summary_**

The primary duty of Shift Supervisor is overseeing and directing the activities of the production employees. They may assign personnel to specific tasks or stations, monitor processes to ensure that employees perform them correctly, and monitor the entire assembly process to prevent delays and provide instruction. This aspect of the role requires the Shift supervisor to ensure that individual production units work together and effectively communicate to prevent delays.

Principal Activities_**
- Manages the scheduling of the Production team.
- Perform specified/complex assembly on company product based on iom instructions.
- Mount or set up complex units or diversify components to be tested per engineering specifications.
- Assemble and test engineered products with multiple accessories with minimum guidance.
- Check the test setup, piping and fixtures for leaks and pressure ratings and document test data.
- Make necessary adjustment to product during the testing.
- Comply with established time standard/safety practice.
- Maintain work area equipment / supplies to ensure maintain 6s work environment.
- Find solutions to resolve the issues.
- Lead continuous improvement opportunities.
- Train assembly employees.
- Assigns work to the assembly team according to daily working schedule and ensure the team completes the work on time according schedule.
- Maintains daily labour records and ensure the accuracy of the records.
- Develop and define strategies to ensure mid and long-term product demand are met.
- Drive change daily by creating channels for feedback and effectively using company-wide systems of communication to ensure employees are stakeholders and have a voice in the workplace.
- Develop standard work for the assembly department.

Job Requirements:
**CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS**

**_ Knowledge, Skills & Abilities_**
- Effectively lead teams is essential in this role
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices to prevent employee injuries and maintain overall plant safety
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical Production
- High Pressure Test experience (Steam a plus)
- Able to interpret instructions and trouble shooting
- Able to read complex drawings.
- Working independently, with less supervision.
- Knowledge of problem solving
- Intermediate frontline leadership skills
- Ability to coach or training other employees
- Basic computer skills.

**_
Education _**
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years’ experience in a Production envrionment, Valve experience a plus. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least 5 years’ supervisory experience
