Overview:
**Responsibilities**:
- **Legal Compliance**: Stay well-informed of laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the IT sector, ensuring the company's compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- ** Contract Review and Negotiation**: Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts and agreements, including vendor contracts, licensing agreements, service agreements, and partnership agreements.
- ** Intellectual Property Protection**: Manage intellectual property matters, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets. Advise on intellectual property protection strategies and enforce the company's IP rights as needed.
- ** Data Privacy and Security**: Provide guidance on data privacy and security laws, including GDPR,DPDA and other relevant regulations. Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard customer data and ensure compliance with privacy laws.
- ** Litigation Management**:Collaborate with external counsel to manage litigation matters, including disputes, claims, and regulatory investigations. Develop strategies for resolving legal disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.
- ** Corporate Governance**: Assist in corporate governance matters, including entity formation, corporate structuring, and corporate governance policies. Ensure compliance with corporate formalities and regulations.
- ** Risk Management**: Identify legal risks and provide proactive advice and solutions to mitigate such risks. Develop and implement risk management strategies to protect the company's interests.
- ** Training and Education**: Conduct training sessions for employees on legal matters relevant to their roles, such as contract management, data privacy, and compliance.
- ** Legal Research and Analysis**: Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues impacting the company, providing timely and accurate advice to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Law degree from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the state bar association
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on technology law, either in-house or at a reputable law firm.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, intellectual property law, data privacy regulations, and other relevant areas of law affecting the IT industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide practical legal advice.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and providing legal support to various business units.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to ethical conduct.
- Experience working in the technology industry or with technology companies.
- Familiarity with international laws and regulations impacting the IT sector.
- Experience managing litigation matters and working with external counsel.
- Prior experience in corporate governance and compliance matters.
