Android upgrade expertise across MM
- Understand the Android T architecture
- For Android T upgrade, augment the support needs in QCT lead chipset and fully take care of QCT derivative chipsets
- Understand the GKI needs for Android T and add support
- Support devices upgrade to Android T (existing and new devices/ chipsets) including any legacy issues from Android R and S
- Kernel upgrade expertise across MM
- Understand the Kernel architecture and potential
- For Kernel upgrade, augment the support needs in QCT lead chipset and fully take care of QCT derivative chipsets
- Understand the GKI needs for a given kernel

Graphics
- Android T upgrade (UMD and KMD)
- Understand the Android T architecture and impact on the UMD and KMD drivers
- For Android T upgrade, augment the support needs in QCT lead chipset and fully take care of QCT derivative chipsets
- Understand the GKI needs for Android T and add support
- Transition to Soong from Make and enable it
- Support devices upgrade to Android T (existing and new devices/ chipsets) including any legacy issues from Android R and S
- Interact with dependent teams like display, video, framework, tools (SDLLVM) teams and handover the issue smoothly
- Support Google Apps and use cases in GL ES, Vulkan, OpenCL and KGSL
- Collect respective logs/ do experiments to narrow down the issue as app issue or driver issues or framework/display issue. if the issue specific to CTS, AOSP, raise Google bugid and follow-up with Google to get the fix.
- Collect respective logs/ do experiments to narrow down the issue as driver issues or due to dependent driver (clock/ smmu etc), participate in discussions with respective teams till the issue is resolved.
- Work with APT/target team, able to reproduce the issues, come up with solution to fix the issues.
- DRM KMS Chrome support
- Understand the DRM architecture and gain knowledge about DRM KMS driver implementation in opensource
- Add support for A6x DRM driver for the given chipset, integrate A6x DRM driver with Freedreno driver and do the bring up on track 3 platform (if any) with unit testing.
- Anchor perf / power / memory optimization discussions in DRM driver and implement the same
- Design/ code reviews and upstreaming of DRM driver changes
- Google interfacing for DRM specific issues
- Work with dependent teams like display, video, platform teams..etc and handover the issues smoothly

- WCD/WSA development and commercialization
- Port driver development and validation;
- Depth Charge driver development and validation;

- Debugging to identify the issue, fix the issue and release the code changes.

- Includes CR and customer SR support covering Camera userspace and Kernel drivers
- Adding new feature requests that come up
- Handling any customer specific Product line needed for any of the above chipsets
- Handling blacklisted CRs for applicable branches
