**Cloud Architect** - Job Description**

Sitero is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our dynamic team. As a Cloud Architect, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, performance, and security of our organization's systems. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of technologies, including Linux and Windows systems, cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS, virtualization with VMWare, SharePoint, and more.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Manage and maintain all Linux and Windows-based systems, ensuring their availability, stability, and optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain scripts in Python or PowerShell to automate routine administrative tasks, streamline operations, and enhance efficiency.
- Oversee the deployment, configuration, and administration of Azure and AWS environments, including provisioning and managing virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
- Support and maintain SharePoint environments, including user management, permissions, and site configuration.
- Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure high availability and optimal resource utilization.
- Implement and maintain robust security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management, to safeguard systems and data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, implement, and support technology initiatives and projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and organizational policies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, assisting with troubleshooting complex issues and sharing knowledge and expertise.
- Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to existing systems, processes, and procedures, driving innovation and efficiency.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- BE/BTech in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proven experience working as a Senior cloud engineer or Architect, with a focus on Linux and Windows servers in Azure and AWS.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, with the ability to automate tasks and develop custom tools.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically Azure and AWS, including experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- In-depth understanding of VMWare virtualization technologies, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of virtual machines.
- Proficiency in administering SharePoint environments, including user management, permissions, and site configuration.
- Sound knowledge of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Familiarity with security best practices and technologies, including access controls, encryption, vulnerability management, and identity and access management (IAM).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide innovative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Experience managing leading life sciences system implementations would be an advantage (i.e. CTMS, Drug Safety, EDC, Quality, CRM, Data Analytics, HRMS, Accounting / Finance, etc.),

**EMPLOYMENT TYPE**

**COMMITMENTS**
- Standard Hours 40 hours per week, one hour lunch, Monday - Friday. Additional hours as needed.
