Roles and Responsibility
- Job Purpose / Role VEHICLE INTREGATIONKey Responsibilities:
1.
- Creation base skeleton layout and providing base sketch skeleton to studio and confirming 1g alignment.- 2.
- Creation of vehicle layout, 3d assy. in Catia v5.- 3.
- BOM base structure creation in plm and compilation of new changes feedback provided by different groups.- 4.
- Vehicle level benchmarking for project specific competitor vehicle.- 5.
- To ensure Static/Dynamic clearances in vehicle during all stages ( Clay /Scan/design).- 6.
- Final Clay model point cloud alignment ,dynamic motion evaluation and regulation.- 7.
- Vehicle specification and gap specification release.- 8.
- Design for serviceability & assembly
- disassembly check on (Clay, during designing &vehicle assy.)- 9.
- Ergonomic, Hard point evaluation as pre vehicle specification requirement.- 10.
- BOM checking and approval as per vehicle 3d assy. Structure.- 11.
- Support r&d coordination for various events m1,m2pp1 &pp2 events.- 12.
- Quick concept model creation on new ideas ( supporting studio).- 13.
- Supporting different department for data for design/data related query.- 14.
- Collaborate design house work with feedback, reference data sharing and quick concept modelling.- 15.
- Surface ,part and assembly quality checking.- 16.
- Understanding and validating fit and finish requirement in bodywork.DESIRED COMPETENCIES FOR THE JOB:
- Desired Technical / Functional Competencies- Understanding the construction of motorcycle.- Understanding the key safety need of motorcycle.- Understanding of hard points /layout and creation of new layout- Expert level knowledge with hand of experience CAD ( Part, assy and surfacing).- Understanding of class A, B & C requirments.- Ability to develop envelops. eg
- Engine envelop, wheel envelop, handle bar etc.- Understanding of static/dynamic clearances requirement for vehicle aggregates packaging.- Ability to benchmark vehicle layout & aggregate layout.- Knowledge of rider ergonomics, field of vision and hand reach zone.- Packaging of control cable & wiring.- Checking & evaluation of vehicle for regulation compliance- Evaluation of vehicle for meeting target specification- Bom management and change management.- Basic knowledge of tooling, manufacturing process.Desired Behavioral Competencies- Sensitive to anything relative to safety- Open to learn form every new thing.- Knowledge gathering for testing and physical vehicle.- Coordination with team work.- Respect others.-
