An echo technician, also known as an echocardiogram technician or cardiac sonographer, is a diagnostic medical sonographer who uses ultrasound devices to create images of the heart. They work under the supervision of a licensed physician and may perform echocardiograms while a patient is resting or after physical activity.

Echo technicians' duties include:
Preparing for examinations by checking equipment, taking inventory of supplies, and reviewing physician orders and patient schedules

Managing patient stress by explaining exam procedures, answering questions, and providing ambulatory assistance

Observing and taking images of a patient's heart

Measuring cardiovascular health by viewing blood flow and valve movement with the echocardiogram

Assisting physicians with more complex procedures involving ultrasound

Reporting all information gathered, including concerns, to the patient's physician(s)

Looking at blood flow, valve function, and chamber size to determine the overall condition of the heart

Accurately recording patient data and test results

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
