SQL Dba

The MS SQL DBA is primarily responsible for providing operational and SQL database services to the organization. As a DBA, this person is primarily responsible for the maintenance and support of databases on large scale database servers running on Microsoft SQL Server.

Responsibilities will include

Owning, tracking, and resolving database related incidents and requests.

Fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs

Perform regular database maintenance activities by following internal processes (data loads, data fixes, schema updates, database copies, software installs, upgrades and patches).

Running daily database checks.

Assist with the automation of regular database support activities.

Maintain code in centralised repositories appropriate to each project.

Support and implement database solutions in Microsoft SQL Server. This will involve a complete understanding of our core software components and how they interact with the back-end database.

Interact with the CRM Development team to coordinate resolution of model-related problems that may be affecting the back-end database.

Work directly with the Research and Development team in New Zealand or India to implement and test newly created system files and core software components.

Provide ongoing support and technical guidance to users at various levels within the organization.

Work on rostered shifts (including weekends) providing 24x7 DBA services.

**Essential Qualifications**:
Has 2+ years of experience in database development and support in MS SQL Server environments.

Experience in Database Administration in SQL Server (2008 and 2012).

**Essential Requirements**:
Experience in writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures, Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

Knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.

Knowledge of SQL Server tools.

SQL Development - ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design (stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints).

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
