**JOB SUMMARY**:
Dean Academic Affairs provides direction in developing, expanding, revising, improving, and ensuring the successful operation of multiple functional areas within Student Services. Under the guidance of the Dean Academic Affairs this position works under broad, administrative direction with significant responsibility in planning, organizing, and managing services associated with academic advising, outreach/admissions, information, student employment, orientation, career planning, academic support, student discipline, and student behavioral intervention etc.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develops plans to create multiple pathways for students to a future career success including higher education, civil services, entrepreneurship, social service, and family businesses. For this purpose he serves as the primary liaison between the university and its students.
- provide support through academic intervention and remediation, learning programs, academic survival workshops, retreats, and counselling.
- constantly monitors, analyses, and evaluates current scope of services offered,
implements, and directs new programs.
- participate in the planning of new experiential learning programs in all university courses.
- to participate effectively in developing, implementing, evaluating and coordinating co-curricular activities in the University.
- develops and implements improvements to services and programs for the University at the campus levels, which involves working closely with Deans and upper management to identify student needs.
- develop and coordinate co-curricular programs to ensure student skill development.
- develop and coordinate co-curricular and educational student opportunities that attract,engage, and encourage student participation.
- interpret, implement, and make recommendations regarding policies and procedures pertaining to co-curricular programs.
- develop eligibility criteria and maintain records for student participation in co-curricular programs.
**Qualification and Skills**:
- Masters with overall experience of more than 8 years.
- Ability to deal effectively with University faculty, students, administrators, and staff, as well as various outside organizations and agencies in enforcing key University academic policies.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organizational skills.
- Successful supervisory experience in a people-oriented environment.
- Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
