Spanish Teacher Job Description

The Spanish Teacher will be responsible for teaching Spanish language courses to students across various grade levels, including introductory to advanced levels. The role requires the delivery of engaging lessons that develop students' language skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening, as well as fostering an appreciation of Spanish-speaking cultures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach Spanish language and culture to students

2. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and meet the diverse needs of students.

3. Use a variety of teaching methods, including communicative approaches, project-based learning, and technology, to engage

students in learning Spanish.

4. Assess students’ language proficiency through written and oral assignments, tests, and projects.

5. Provide constructive feedback on student performance and progress in a timely manner.

6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the language program and curriculum.

7. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress and areas for improvement.

8. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in language teaching.

Foster a love of languages and cultural appreciation among students.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

2. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English.

3. Teaching certification in Spanish or Foreign Language Education is preferred.
