**Job Description**
- Prepare a variety of bakery items such as breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure timely and consistent output.
- Manage the section assigned, ensuring all baked goods meet quality standards.
- Assist in the design and decoration of cakes, pastries, and other specialty items.
- Ensure the quality, taste, and presentation of baked goods are in line with the bakery’s standards.
- Check ingredients and finished products to ensure that all items meet food safety regulations and quality benchmarks.
- Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product consistency.
- Work alongside other chefs and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth production flow.
- Communicate effectively with the Head Baker or Pastry Chef to ensure that the section’s needs are met.
- Provide guidance to junior team members, trainees, or commis chefs as needed.
- Assist in managing the inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring sufficient stock for daily operations.
- Participate in ordering ingredients and maintaining records of stock levels.
- Minimize waste by following portion control and utilizing leftovers appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations in the bakery, including proper food handling, cleaning, and sanitation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and workspace.
- Adhere to food safety standards and practices
- Experiment with new recipes, techniques, and presentations to keep the bakery offerings fresh and exciting.
- Stay updated on industry trends in baking and pastry arts.
**Qualifications**:
5-6 years of experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar role.
Formal culinary training or certification in pastry or bakery arts is preferred.
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and tools.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Creativity and attention to detail, particularly in decoration and presentation.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely production and delivery.
Good communication and team collaboration skills.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Salary Range :35000-40000
