**Job Title**: Piping Designer - Utility Piping (Site-Based)
The **Piping Designer** - **Utility Piping** will be responsible for creating and detailing utility piping layouts and designs on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety guidelines. This role involves coordinating with engineers, contractors, and project managers to deliver effective piping solutions that meet the needs of the facility’s utility infrastructure.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Piping Design and Layout**:

- Develop detailed designs for utility piping systems, including piping layouts, equipment, and routing in line with project requirements.
- Work with engineering teams to produce piping isometrics, layout drawings, and general arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Select appropriate pipe materials, insulation, supports, and other components based on the type of fluid, operating conditions, and environmental factors.
- **Site Survey and Measurements**:

- Conduct on-site surveys and take accurate measurements to ensure designs fit within the existing infrastructure and space constraints.
- Identify potential clashes or design challenges and adjust designs accordingly.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Collaborate with project engineers, process engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of piping plans.
- Provide technical input and resolve design issues during installation.
- **Standards and Compliance**:

- Ensure designs adhere to industry standards (such as ASME, ANSI, and OSHA) and specific client requirements.
- Verify that all piping designs comply with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including design revisions, material specifications, and progress reports.
- Prepare reports and present design plans to project managers or clients when necessary.
- **Quality Control and Field Support**:

- Inspect and validate installed piping systems for quality, alignment with design plans, and compliance with standards.
- Provide field support during construction and commissioning to resolve any issues related to piping installation.
- **Software Proficiency**:

- Use CAD software, such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or SolidWorks, to create detailed piping models and designs.
- Utilize software to ensure designs meet technical requirements and project specifications.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in piping design, with a focus on utility piping in industrial or construction environments.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in piping design software (AutoCAD, PDMS, SolidWorks, etc.), with strong understanding of fluid mechanics, pipe material selection, and installation practices.
- **Knowledge**: Familiarity with utility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, steam, compressed air, and other site utilities.
- **Soft Skills**: Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, proactive problem-solving ability, and team collaboration.
- **Certifications**: Relevant industry certifications (such as ASME certification) are a plus.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
