Tyre Technician

**Responsibilities**:
**Tire Maintenance**: Regularly inspect, assess, and maintain the tires on all vehicles in the fleet to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.

**Tire Replacement**: Identify and replace worn-out or damaged tires promptly to prevent accidents, breakdowns, and disruptions to fleet operations.

**Tire Selection**: Work with suppliers to choose appropriate tires based on the specific needs of the fleet, considering factors such as vehicle type, load capacity, driving conditions, and budget constraints.

**Inventory Management**: Maintain an organized inventory of tires, keeping track of stock levels, and ordering new tires as needed. Manage the disposal of old or unusable tires in an environmentally responsible manner.

**Cost Management**: Monitor and control tire-related costs, including purchasing, maintenance, and replacement expenses. Look for cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety and performance.

**Data Analysis**: Utilize data and analytics to assess tire performance, track trends, and identify areas for improvement. Implement preventive maintenance strategies to extend tire lifespan.

**Compliance**: Stay informed about relevant regulations and standards related to tire safety and maintenance. Ensure that the fleet's tires comply with legal requirements.

**Collaboration**: Work closely with fleet managers, mechanics, and other relevant personnel to coordinate tire-related activities and contribute to overall fleet efficiency.

**Training**: Provide training to drivers and maintenance staff on proper tire care, inflation, and inspection procedures to enhance safety and longevity.

**Emergency Response**: Develop and implement emergency response plans for tire-related incidents, such as blowouts or flat tires, to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of drivers.

**Qualifications**:

- Educational background in automotive technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in tire management, preferably in a fleet or transportation setting.
- Knowledge of various types of tires, their specifications, and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with tire maintenance equipment and tools.
