**Summary / Objective**

Plant operators are responsible for handling and managing most of the tasks at a particular plant such as an industrial/manufacturing plant. The nature of the job includes high risk; so, it is mandatory for the plant operator to know the safety protocols and provide emergency first aid. The plant operator should also be good at reading, as they are required to refer to operational machine manuals from time to time, depending upon the requirement and nature of job.

What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Strong focus on delivery and results with high drive and energy levels.
- Operate plant equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) by controlling product flow, solvent tank level, pressure and temperature of process equipment.
- Recommend changes to SOPs and suggest new equipment to improve productivity.
- Knowledge of manufacturing in solvent extraction and distillation plant is mandatory.
- Thoroughly monitor the consumption of solvent and other consumables used in production and analyse the percentage of solvent loss in regular intervals or at the end of each lot closing.
- Ensuring all production records in prescribed format with document control number.
- Responsible for all plant machinery are clean. Clean equipment such as vessels, filters and condensers periodically to avoid blockage. Report all repairs immediately to maintenance personnel.
- Responsible for yield improvement.
- Responsible for operational excellence processes by coaching and guiding the Plant team.
- Responsible for process quality parameters as per the company mandates.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations and strictly adhering to GMPs.
- Daily maintaining and reporting of Production reports to Reporting Officer.
- Responsible for activities like loading and unloading, packaging, labelling are done on timely basis.
- Response to emergency and breakdowns.
- Responsible for all portable equipment are in correct order and use safely.
- Assist to plumbing, electrical, mechanical and others when and where required.
- Responsible for Monitoring the performance and adjust parameters to obtain maximum efficiency.
- Responsible for Conduct trouble shoot/diagnose and repair faulty operations.
- Check regularly electrical and mechanical safety and operation components.
- Responsible to rectify the problems arising in the Plants and Machines then and there.
- Responsible to ensure that the oiling, greasing and the other maintenance activities of the equipment’s of the Plant and Machinery are done as per the maintenance schedule.
- Responsible to understand GMP requirements and carry out all the activities required for hygiene production by following strict Personal Hygiene practices, allergen policy requirements, Hazard Control practices to ensure safe production of food.
- To maintain proper discipline and good housekeeping.
- Closely monitoring Pressure gauges, Temperature gauges, Vacuum gauges of the instruments along with the PRVs (Pressure Regulatory Value)
- Responsible for wearing of PPEs as per the requirement of the production area.
- Ensure strict adherence of company policies like Food Safety Policy, Allergen policy, Metal Policy etc

**Work Location**
- Bioingredia Natural Pvt Ltd, KINFRA Mega Food Park, Kanjikode.

**Position Type / Expected Hours of Work**
- This is a full-time position. Worker shall be required to work in a factory/manufacturing unit for 48 hours in any week.

**Travel**
- Must be willing to travel as per requirement.

**Required Education and Experience**
- Qualification: ITI (Fitter, Draft man Civil etc..) B.Tech, Dip.Mechancial Engineering,, with 2-4 years of experience manufacturing unit preferably extraction of Curcumin, Essential Oils, Oleoresins etc
- In-depth computer skills Able to use, repair and maintain machines and tools
- Knowledge of engineering science, Maths, and Technology
- Design skills and knowledge
