Role Overview
A Medicine Representative, also known as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities
2. Sales and Marketing: Promote and sell pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, hospitals, and pharmacies, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
3. Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, hospitals, and pharmacies to increase sales and product awareness.
4. Product Demonstrations: Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
5. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.
6. Competitor Analysis: Analyze competitors' products, pricing, and marketing strategies to stay competitive.
7. Sales Reporting: Provide regular sales reports to management, including sales data, customer feedback, and market trends.
8. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies.
9. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date with industry developments and product knowledge.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Event Planning: Organize and participate in events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and build relationships.
2. Sample Management: Manage product samples, including ordering, storing, and distributing them to healthcare professionals.
3. Literature Distribution: Distribute product literature, including brochures, leaflets, and other marketing materials.
4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in a life science, pharmacy, or a related field.
2. Sales Experience: Proven sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
3. Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
4. Product Knowledge: Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products and the industry.
5. Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
