Product Knowledge: MR should have a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical products or therapeutic areas they are responsible for. They should be knowledgeable about the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of their products to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and customers.

Market Understanding: MR should possess strong market intelligence and have a thorough understanding of the pharmaceutical market dynamics, including competitor analysis, market trends, and customer preferences. This knowledge allows them to identify opportunities, develop targeted strategies, and make informed business decisions.

Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders is crucial for an MR This includes healthcare professionals, distributors, key accounts, and opinion leaders. ASM should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish trust, negotiate effectively, and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: MR should be adept at analyzing data, identifying patterns, and making data-driven decisions. They should have strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in the market, resolve customer issues, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles.

Planning and Organization: MR should possess effective planning and organizational skills to manage their territory efficiently. This includes prioritizing tasks, managing time effectively, and coordinating activities to ensure maximum productivity and sales performance.
