**Role: Test Architect**

**Summary of the Position**

**Essential Responsibilities**
- Understand the vision to design and integrate quality within Software Development Life Cycle.
- A thorough understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle.
- Deep understand of Behaviour-driven Development paradigm and strategizing Test Automation in the BDD context.
- Proven experience of Non-functional testing, majorly Multi-tenancy Testing, Security Testing, Availability and Performance Testing.
- Mentoring the SW Dev team on Testability of Architecture/Design at various phases of SDLC.
- Lead Verification and Validation activities to enable quality and timely release of the product.
- Build Modular test strategy
- Responsible for the strategic direction and tactical use of the testing function
- Supporting the Test Function in achieving its strategic goals
- Identify what tools and technologies can be implemented, aligning with that already used across the broader development function and in-line with the skill-set of the team
- Provide technical know-how, documentation and training to test and other business functions
- Design and develop the test automation framework, harnesses and code libraries to enable the team to both use and enhance them across successive projects

**Desired Technical skills / experience**:

- Industry experience of 15+ years in the Software V&V role, Automation leader preferably with a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) discipline.
- Should have 12+ years of experience in the role of test architect field.
- 5+ years’ experience in Test Automation Leadership role.
- Experience in executing and leading testing in Behaviour Driven Development paradigm.
- Thorough understanding of modern DevOps, including CI,CD and CT, preferably in containerized deployment scenario.
- Expertise with Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches.
- Experience in test execution estimates, test design, test plans, test strategy, execution and defect lifecycle handling
- Advanced level of experience with scripting languages - JavaScript, Python, CSS3, HTML5, JSON/XML.
- Hands-on knowledge of JavaScript-based Test Automation tools like WebComponent Tester, WebDriverIO etc. is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of UI and API test automation, XML/Json Verification etc. using tools like REST Assured, Selenium / Cucumber, Postman/ Protractor, / JMeter, / LoadRunner etc. is highly desirable.
- Expertise of Database concepts
- Experience in writing high quality, readable, reusable, testable code.
- Experience with Software design patterns and methodologies such as objected oriented design.
- Experience with Agile Development environment. Good understanding of the concept of BDD
- Should have delivered sizable projects in the independent capacity

**Educational Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
- BE/B Tech/BCA/MCA

- Demonstrated experience with global product releases throughout the product introduction cycle
- Clear communicator with strong written and oral communication skills especially in a global context.
