Dialysis Nurse

1. Takes the nursing history, summarizes data, and states nursing diagnoses/ patient care needs.

2. Executes physician's orders for all assigned patients; safely and properly administers medications and treatments.

3. To be responsible for collection of specimens when ordered, ensuring correct labeling.

4. To be responsible for preparing assigned patients for programmed medical procedures.

5. To participate in specialist’s rounds and assist by giving relevant information as regards to nursing observations.

6. To supervise the cleanliness of assigned area or the department

7. Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipment’s are in working order.

8. To ensure that all items used for residents inclusive of medications, surgical supplies are duly recorded and charged.

9. Maintain residents’ safety by taking preventive measures against accidents.

10. Accurately records and reports incidents.

**Special Responsibilities**

11. Primes dialyzer

12. Records patients’ medical information and vital signs

13. Readies dialysis equipment

14. Oversees the dialysis treatment from start to finish

15. Cannulates accesses

16. Demonstrates the ability to remove femoral sheaths & administer medications, including thrombolytics

17. Cleans and dresses permanent and temporary catheters

18. Monitors patient and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records information

19. Identifies irregular dialysis reactions and notifies appropriate medical team members

- and post-procedure care to patients within the Hemodialysis Unit

**Salary**: ₹21,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
