1) Ensures that items are prepared according to hotel minimum standards and standard procedures. 2) Checks quality / presentation / temperature of food prior to serving. 3) Preparation of mise-en-place. - Keeping the work area neat and clean. 4) To prepare food according to standardized recipes and to keep areas and equipment clean. 5) Cooking and presentation as per the standardized recipes. 6) Storage of food and provisions. 7) Control wastage. 8) Effective utilisation of raw materials.
9) Coordinate and cooperate with F&B Service, Room Service, Purchase and Stores department.
